The Whitney Museum, New York

The Whitney, one of only a few museums in New York City that focuses entirely on American art, has a distinctly contemporary look of sharply angled, polished gray stone and glass. However, its not the building that makes the Whitney unique, its the extensive collection of twentieth century American art housed inside.
