When it opened 24 years ago, Greens was a pioneer, showing diners that vegetarian food didn't have to be drab. Large windows overlook the marina at Fort Mason and offer postcard views of the Golden Gate Bridge, a particular draw during sunset or when the fog sweeps in. The menu is a la carte for lunch and weekday dinners, with a four-course fixed-price menu on Saturdays (at $46, it's not a great value).
