Flight School

These days almost all travel bookings have an online component. Whether you search online then call to book, see a web ad about travel then log-in later, or just pump in keywords and find a site like our threedayweekends.com and book directly.

Online is definently the best way to book, and airline reservation agents fearful of losing there jobs have actually gotten much more polite over the last few years.

Comparing prices on several popular destinations, we tested all of the "travel" sites and have to say that lowestfare, Hotwire, threedayweekends.com flight search, Orbitz and priceline are really the only way to go.

Threedayweekends.com flight search is powered by worldspan. Hotwire partners with major airlines and hotels, and is owned by IAC which also owns our hotel partner hotels.com. Orbitz partners with Hotwire and is owned by five major US air carriers. On the other side of the coin you have lowestfare.com which is owned by priceline and lastly of course is priceline itself.

Everyone else we tested either has gimmicky low fares, outrageous fee ad ons, or are just plain hoping you don't do any research. One online package company promised the lowest deal from NYC to Las Vegas for a three day vacation with a four star hotel, which was easily beaten by $250.00 by using Threedayweekends.com flight search for the airfare and Hotwire for the hotel.

Regards, and happy travels.
